Bart Barnack – Instructor Bio

Bart Barnack brings decades of hands-on off-road experience and leadership to the Offroad Toolbox training program. A passionate advocate for responsible trail use and outdoor education, Bart has spent years working with off-road communities, events, and training programs designed to help enthusiasts enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly.

In addition to his work with Offroad Toolbox, Bart is the owner of Tactical Training Solutions, a professional training organization that provides instruction for law enforcement officers and security professionals at all levels—from local agencies to high-level protective teams responsible for safeguarding senior government officials, often referred to as “Mr. Smith.”

Bart’s approach to training focuses on practical knowledge, situational awareness, and teamwork—whether in a tactical environment or on the trail. He believes that education is the key to protecting both people and public lands while ensuring that drivers of all experience levels have the skills and confidence needed to handle real-world situations.

Through Offroad Toolbox courses, Bart shares lessons learned from years of field experience—covering vehicle capability, trail etiquette, environmental stewardship, and recovery techniques. His mission is simple: to help build a safer, more capable, and more responsible off-road community.

Jeoff Freed – Instructor Bio

Jeoff Freed is a veteran off-road instructor and co-founder of Offroad Toolbox, dedicated to advancing education within the off-road community. With extensive experience organizing events, training programs, and trail-based learning environments, Jeoff has helped countless enthusiasts better understand their vehicles, the terrain they explore, and the responsibility that comes with off-road travel.

Outside the off-road world, Jeoff currently works in the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist, specializing in the care of cardiac and lung transplant patients. His medical career has reinforced the importance of preparation, calm decision-making, and teamwork—skills that translate directly into the way he approaches off-road instruction and safety training.

Earlier in his career, Jeoff was involved in the high-performance marine industry, building race boats in the late 1980s alongside legendary boat builder Don Aronow. This early experience working in high-performance mechanical environments helped shape his deep respect for engineering, vehicle capability, and the importance of understanding the equipment you operate.

Throughout his career, Jeoff has also earned multiple teaching and instructional certifications, reflecting his long-standing commitment to education and mentorship. His philosophy centers on empowerment through education—teaching drivers how to operate their vehicles safely, recover from challenges on the trail, and preserve the environments that make off-roading possible.

Through Offroad Toolbox training programs, Jeoff continues to promote a culture of knowledge, safety, and land stewardship, helping ensure that future generations can responsibly enjoy the off-road lifestyle.
